This was a 20-weeks project in two stages at the university of Creative Arts in Farnham. Stage one was the key to the whole project succeeding. Stage one involved creating a new area of works including installation of new 1hour fire rated shaft walls to separate areas from the main escape route. The building of new special fire rated Fermacell partitions which were resistant to an extremely high temperate due to the nature of the new Jewellery workshop.
Installation of 20 new Specialist Jewellery benches involving installing new gas supply to the area with all specialist safety devices, special extraction system to the pickle tank and the co-ordination of all specialist contractors and suppliers to prove the highest standard to finishes with minimal disruptions.
Stage two of this project was the demolition of the old Jewellery Room and creation of a new high sound resistant hammer room along with a specialist Gemmology room. Both stages involved a complete new electric installation which included individual control of lights and power sockets to each benched area.
